Yes, I do require a 50% retainer and a contract must be signed in order to book your spot.
I accept payment via cash, check, apple pay, cash app, or PayPal.
Totally up to you! If you have a specific spot in mind, let's make it happen! I do have a few places I usually use if you're just not sure. I also love doing at-home family sessions. If you want to do something unique and different, I'm all in. Want to have a session on a family camping trip? I'll pack my hiking boots. Got a favorite ice cream shop? Let's do it. I love visiting new and unique places for photo sessions.
If your session will be outside, I would like to shoot as close to sunset as possible (golden hour!), so I would ideally like to start your session an hour before the sunset. (Please note: sunrise light is also beautiful, so if you're an early riser, I'm up for a morning adventure!)
If your session will be at home, any time of day is great because we'll use the light from your windows as a soft side-light source. That's why home sessions are great for kiddos and newborns, because their energy is best when the sun is high in the sky.
Your session fee covers up to 6 people. Additional family members can be added to package for $30 per person. If you have a family reunion I can specialize a package for you.

I edit your photos in Lightroom to take them from good to great. I edit color balance, exposure, shadows, clarity, and add stylistic touches that make your photos look incredible. If you had a recent breakout, I will try to spot-remove blemishes, and for close-up portraits, I will smooth your skin a bit (but not so much that it's obvious). I will try to make you look your best while still photographing you as you are, today!
I LOVE dogs and I love shooting photos of dogs. Your dog(s) are welcome at your session if (1) you're certain the location is dog-friendly, and (2) you bring along a friend or family member to handle the dogs when they aren't in the shot (unless you're at home, in which case your dog can be unattended).
Yes, I love all animals. Bring your snake, horse, donkey, pig, etc. (1) you're certain the location is animal friendly, and (2) you bring along a friend or family member to handle the animal when they aren't in the shot (unless we are doing the shoot at your home)
I always share two wardrobe tips: (1) dress up a little more than you otherwise would. There is no such thing as overdressed for a photoshoot. Opt for the flowy dress, the suit jacket, the statement accessory—you'll be so glad you did! and (2) light pastels photograph very nicely in nature. Think peach, blush, sky blue, sage green, soft yellow, lavender... that's your palette. Avoid all-black pieces (unless they're pants on him) or brilliant white (though cream and off-white photograph beautifully). Textures are great, like lace, chiffon, woven sweaters. If you want to have a print, opt for subtle stripes, checked patterns, or calicos (avoid bold and wild prints).
If we're shooting at the beach, wear sandals you can kick off as soon as we get to the sand.
I deliver your images to you via online gallery (invitation sent to your email) within 10 business days.
Yes! The gallery service I use to distribute photos (Pixieset) makes it super easy to order high-quality small- and large-format prints directly from the gallery. You're also welcome to download the high-resolution files and order prints through a third party printing service (they're YOUR photos!) For that matter, you can do WHATEVER you want with your photos—print, post to socials, load to your website, email, share the link with family and friends, etc.
